Test takers preparing for the GED High School Equivalency exam can brush up on their academic skills with this brand-new set of flash cards. The 450 cards are divided into categories that reflect the GED's four test areas English, Social Studies, Math, and Science. Approximately 125 English flash cards cover grammar, correct sentence usage, and reading comprehension. Approximately 100 Social Studies cards cover history, geography, civics and government, and economics. Approximately 125 Math cards present questions with answers covering numbers and operations, geometry, measurement and data analysis, and algebra; and approximately 100 Science cards cover fundamentals of biology, Earth science, chemistry, and physics. The cards present questions and answers, as well as terms and definitions. All cards have a punch hole in one corner to accommodate a metal key-ring-style card holder enclosed in the card box. Test takers can use the ring to arrange their flash cards in any sequence that suits their study needs.

This set of flash cards is very impressive and complete. They include a little ring so that you can pull out different sections to go through, clip them together with the ring, and none of them will get lost. Then when you're ready for the next section, you pull the cards and put the ring through them, and you're good to go.My dad, who was very education oriented and had his master's degree, taught me to study using flash cards from the time I was in elementary school, so I'm a big proponent of them. I didn't know I was Asperger's then, but looking back, it was probably the most important element of being able to progress because it broke everything down into smaller pieces and wasn't as overwhelming as a large textbook was. My son is also Asperger's and these will be a life-saver in helping to break things down into smaller pieces for him to help keep him from getting overwhelmed. We received the study guide first and he almost fainted until I showed him these flash cards that had arrived already.
I have my son go through the flash cards of a subject that is on the test so we can see where his weaknesses are, then go through the chapter in the book, and then go through the flash cards again. Once he moves on to the next chapter, he can review the past chapters very easily and quickly with the flash cards so he can retain what he has learned in the past while he's moving forward. The practice tests in the book are great, but you can only use them so many times before they get memorized because of the redundancy. It's just a natural to do that. But these flash cards make it easy to shuffle the questions so that it's a more effective barometer of where the student stands, and then the practice tests can be used once the student feels ready to take the plunge and see where they stand test-wise.
I would highly recommend these.

My work with homeless adults has clearly demonstrated the success of the Barron's GED flash card set in preparing our clients for the practice tests. Scores are up as much as 40 points after this quick short term memory refresher.
This is another product I bought for our adopted son who was struggling to get his GED. Others in his class even asked to borrow the cards and the helped each other study. It is well worth the price. Plus, it's from Barron's, a leader in educational books.
MY BROTHER USED THEM TO STUDY HE LOVED THEM AND ..... THEY PACKAGE THE CARDS INTO SECTIONS , THE BOX IS ACTUAL A FILE BOX FOR THE CARDS.... AND THE CARDS HAVE A LITTLE HOLE IN THE CORNER AND THEY INCLUDE A RING SO U CAN PUT WHAT EVER CARDS YOU WANT IN IT!!!!! VERY NICE !!!!
This is an awesome set of flash cards! Very worth the price. Comes pre hole punched, therefore allowing you to put them on a ring. I think these will really help.
Got this for a family member and it did wonders for them. This is a great tool for fast and steady preparation for the GED test. I highly recommend it for anyone taking or preparing for the GED. I also recommend it for any child in middle school grades and higher as a tool to prepare them for future testing.
I'm VERY happy with Barron's GED flash cards! Mine came brand new in shrinkwrapping. Flawless product! Some of the users say a few cards have spelling errors, so just get out a pen and fix that. But out of 450 cards I've been extremely happy with this study tool. The cards have a very nice amount of information and explanations. I'm using these cards to refresh my education before going back to school. This is for WAY more than a GED!
I gave this flash cards 3 stars because it does have a lot of good information which outweighs some of the errors.
For example on #73 of the science, it states that earth is the largest planet in our solar system, and we all know that JUPITER it's huge compare to earth.
In that same number we find a misspelled word , OUT SOLAR SYSTEM , instead of (OUR) , I could let go of the misspelling but the wrong answers are dangerous and can cost passing the test.
This set of flash cards is very impressive and complete.
